Plenvu
For bowel emptying before surgery, colonoscopy or X-ray examinations in adults over 18 years of age. Plenvu is an over-the-counter medicine that contains a combination of the active ingredients macrogol 3350, sodium ascorbate, anhydrous sodium sulfate, ascorbic acid, sodium chloride and potassium chloride. Administration: The treatment consists of two non-identical doses of Plenvu. In addition, at least 500 ml of clear liquid (for example water, clear soup, fruit juice without fruit pulp, tea or coffee without milk) must be taken at the same time as each dose of Plenvu. The treatment must be taken either over 1 or 2 days as described below. Dosage over 2 days: The first dose, dose 1, is taken the evening before the procedure (around 1800) and the second dose, dose 2, is taken early in the morning on the same day as the procedure (around 0600) . Dosing over 1 day takes place either as morning or evening dosing : Morning dosage: Both doses (dose 1 and 2) are taken in the morning with a minimum of 1 hour between each dose.Evening dosage (dose 1 and 2) are taken the same day, the evening before the intervention with a minimum of 1 hour between doses have watery stools This is completely normal and is a sign that the Plenvu solution is working. You may feel bloated in your stomach before the first bowel movement. Your doctor will tell you which dosage schedule to follow. DO NOT add any other ingredients to the doses. Plenvu can affect other medicines, so ask your doctor or pharmacist before using other medicines at the same time. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Read the package insert before use.
