Alcos-Anal rectal ointment is an over-the-counter medicine that contains the active ingredient sodium oleate, which acts as a vasoconstrictor and relieves itching in case of mild irritation in the rectal opening. Used for the treatment of haemorrhoids, eczema and tears in the rectal opening, as well as preventing relapse after surgery. Dosage: The ointment is applied morning and evening, and after each bowel movement. Use regularly for 4-6 weeks. Continuous treatment is important. Clean the area around the rectal opening with warm water and soap, and dry well before application. For internal haemorrhoids, a little ointment is squeezed through the supplied plastic tube. The insertion tube slides more easily into the rectum if you apply a little Alcos-Anal first. Important information: The course should not be interrupted, as this may lead to a recurrence of the symptoms. Feelings of warmth and slight burning at the beginning of the treatment usually disappear after 3-4 days.
